When you eat at Charlie Brown's you're in a place where almost every race car driver has their face on the wall. I'm sure most of them have also partaken in the good food they serve. I surprisingly didn't choose my standard breakfast favorite. Biscuits and gravy today. I chose the pancake combo which came with two eggs and your choice of meat and a stack of short stacks. All were great!! Oh, I ordered a cappuccino and that was very good. I wish more restaurants did this, but for $1 more you can make any of the egg combinations into a breakfast burrito. Mmm!

You can't beat the prices and the nostalgia that it brings you when you walk in. They have two big U tables with stools that were full when we walked in. They do have booths and it has such a laid back feel to it. Parking is on the side and up front and it's located right across from 1911 Grill (also good) & Speedway Indoor Karting.

Take a small town diner with a fantastic breakfast, plop it down near Indy, and you have Charlie Brown's in Speedway, IN. About the only thing missing is a guy named Mel smacking a bell and yelling "Pick it UP!" ...just google it...and yes I know that comment dates me.

I had a short stack w/bacon, two perfect eggs over easy, and coffee to start my day on a random Thursday because sometimes you need that kind of motivation before heading into the workday.

Folks, this isn't high class....it's awesome breakfast with good service that will leave you wanting for nothing except maybe an extra stomach.

This place can get busy because 1) It's that good, and 2) See #1.

Plan accordingly for the wait and come hungry.

I've been coming here for a couple years now, occasionally with family but the majority of my visits are for business meetings over breakfast.

The walls are covered with racing memorabilia, photos of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in all of its glory, all of its challenges, all of its updates and modernization, all of the most famous drivers to every kiss the bricks, challenge the track for decades and never take the win and the legends who dominated the field multiple times.

The waitresses are all locals and have a passion for the sport, they are polite, the work hard and they ensure you have a great experience.

The food here is pretty good for a breakfast joint and everything is cooked to order so you won't get super soggy and oily food. Everything is crisp and fresh all the time! I've not had their lunch yet and I will be checking that out soon.

Located on Main Street in Speedway, walking distance to the track, definitely a must on the list of things to do for the month of May to get your day started off in the right direction!

While it may be one of Speedway's older options, it's definitely one of my favorites. The decor is full of IMS nostalgia and knick knacks. Quite often you'll see a driver or a team member dining there, and AJ Foyt is known to frequent during the month of May. The menu is nothing fancy or trendy--just your typical diner food. However, as diner food goes, the breakfast is pretty fantastic. Amazingly fluffy pancakes and omelettes! Service is friendly and down-to-earth in that local diner sort of way. All in all, it's worth a visit just to say you have been here. But if you are like me, you will find reasons to come back.

Great place lots of autographed stuff.   Breakfast was just the rite amount and I had the pork tenderloin breakfast.   Great place to come eat at in Indy.   Just down the street from the Speedway.
